A big thank you to Nicky, Lisa and Jonathan who on the 30th January invited volunteers and trustees to A H Rogers Funeral Directors, based in Eastleigh, to visit them. This gave us the opportunity to ask all those questions we would like to but never felt we could, especially as they usually arose when attending a funeral!
We were treated to a very informative explanation about the role of a funeral director and the processes involved. This even covered queries regarding death abroad and the formalities involved with repatriation.
Toward the end of the evening we were able to visit the viewing rooms, store room and the preparation area. This dispelled any preconceived myths or issues we may have had and the kind, expert staff were able to put our minds at rest.
